Biden Administration Drafts Plan To ‘Mass Release’ Illegal Aliens Into US
President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been caught in yet another effort to actively facilitate the invasion of illegal aliens into the United States — this time drafting plans for a “mass release” of illegal aliens that are already in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
A new report from the Washington Post has revealed that DHS is considering authorizing ICE to release thousands of illegal aliens into cities and towns across the country. Even worse, the Biden administration is effectively extorting Congress with this information — telling lawmakers that they need billions of dollars in funding in order to avoid carrying out the “mass release.”
“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has drafted plans to release thousands of immigrants and slash its capacity to hold detainees after the failure of a Senate border bill that would have erased a $700 million budget shortfall, according to four officials at ICE and the Department of Homeland Security,” the outlet reported.
“Some of the proposed cost savings in ICE detention would occur through attrition — deportations — but much of it would have to happen through the mass release of detainees, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss internal deliberations,” the report continued.
National Immigration Center for Enforcement (NICE) president RJ Hauman responded to the news by arguing that Biden’s DHS has not been spending its funding as it was allocated by Congress — pointing out that DHS previously received even more funding than it had requested for detention space. He also noted that the same problem did not exist under former president and current GOP primary frontrunner Donald Trump, adding that the Biden administration’s funding is likely going to the welfare and services being handed out to illegal aliens.
“Congress gave the Biden administration more money than they requested for the detention of illegal aliens. So what is ICE spending money on that created this volitional budget gap?” Hauman told Breitbart News.
“First look should be at pilot programs that provide social services to illegal aliens and improper management of detention,” he added. “Also, keep in mind that the Trump administration was able to significantly exceed the appropriated amount of detention beds. The Biden administration is only a tad over, after refusing to fill the appropriated bed amount month after month.”
Even more concerning is the fact that more than 30% of the illegal aliens currently in ICE custody have either pending criminal charges against them or convictions, meaning that the Biden administration is threatening to release potentially violent criminals back onto the streets of the U.S.
Meanwhile, this is far from the first veiled threat made by the Biden administration against Congress regarding the border crisis. Just last week, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre warned that the president may cut the number of deportations unless Congress passed a bill giving DHS more funding to expedite the process to bring more illegal aliens into the U.S. interior and to pay the NGOs that help facilitate illegal immigration.
The latest ICE data shows the staggeringly low number of deportations under Biden, revealing that the administration is deporting approximately one illegal alien for every 70 illegal aliens arriving at the southern border. According to ICE data from fiscal year 2023, illegal aliens only had a less than 5% chance of being deported under Biden.
