RINO Senators Join Democrats In Criticizing Justice Alito Over Flag Controversy

Several RINO senators have joined their Democrat friends in criticizing Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito after The New York Times reported on flags flown at his residences. The paper claimed an upside-down American flag at Alito’s Virginia home and an “Appeal to Heaven” flag at his New Jersey vacation house were symbols used by Jan. 6 protesters.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) encouraged lawmakers to “take a look at it,” calling the situation “very unfortunate.” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said the flags created “a bad image” and a “situation that we’re all talking about,” adding “it was a mistake.”

Romney and Graham each had their messages signal boosted by leftist anti-conservative group Occupy Democrats:

Sen. John Thune (R-SD), who aspires to be the next GOP Senate chief, said of the alleged controversy, “I don’t know how you explain that.”

But there are still some conservatives who aren’t just bending the knee for the clearly hypocritical attacks from Democrats who dismissed the story as another example of Democratic attacks on conservative justices. Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) defended Alito, stating “Justice Alito didn’t say anything to anybody. He didn’t put the flag up, his spouse did.”

Alito explained that his wife raised the banner following a dispute with a neighbor over a profane anti-Trump sign. Legal ethics experts argue the Code of Conduct does not govern a spouse’s actions.

The Times’ reporting comes as the Supreme Court prepares to issue opinions that could threaten Democrats’ 2024 campaign strategy of lawfare and propaganda, including cases related to former President Donald Trump’s immunity and sentencing for Jan. 6 defendants.
