DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced that her department has identified some of the individuals responsible for leaking sensitive information about federal immigration enforcement. Speaking on Fox News, Noem confirmed that those involved would face consequences, including termination and possible prosecution.

The controversy erupted after a leaked memo detailed a large-scale Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Los Angeles, leading to protests and widespread opposition from activists in sanctuary cities. The leak, which Noem called an act of sabotage, compromised the operation and put law enforcement officers at risk.

Noem has been outspoken about her determination to root out disloyal government employees. She explained that DHS has been conducting polygraph tests and monitoring internal communications to track down those responsible. “We are continuing to find more. They will be fired. There will be consequences,” she stated.

She emphasized that leaking operational details directly endangers law enforcement. “When they leak information to the press in order to blow an operation, they are putting law enforcement lives in jeopardy,” she said. Noem made it clear that the leaks were not just an issue of policy disagreement but an attack on national security.

Since President Donald Trump took office, his administration has reversed Biden-Harris policies that restricted ICE agents from arresting and deporting criminal illegal immigrants. However, opposition from sanctuary cities and leftist activists continues to create obstacles for law enforcement.

DHS has not yet disclosed the identities of those responsible for the leaks but confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
