Outrage Erupts As FBI Withholds Thousands Of Epstein Case Files, Patel Vows Investigation

The FBI’s failure to turn over all Epstein-related documents has sparked widespread outrage, with Attorney General Pam Bondi confirming that the Bureau’s New York office had been withholding thousands of pages of key case records. The disclosure came after Bondi received only 200 pages — far less than what was expected — despite requesting the full case file as reported here.
Bondi immediately sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel see details here, demanding that all remaining Epstein files, including recordings and investigative documents, be delivered to her office by February 28. Patel responded forcefully, launching an investigation into why records were withheld as confirmed here and pledging to pursue any officials responsible for obstructing transparency per this update.
Further controversy erupted when White House visitors, including social media influencers, were handed binders labeled The Epstein Files: Phase 1 in an event described here. Many of the recipients were unaware of the contents, and images of them holding the binders quickly spread. The distribution has led to accusations that the D.O.J. mishandled the release, as much of the information inside was redacted or previously known.
The backlash over the missing records has been swift. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) criticized the handling of the release, saying she had not been informed in advance despite her involvement in efforts to uncover the full truth. Victims’ attorney Jennifer Freeman also condemned the FBI and D.O.J. for their failure to provide real accountability.
Patel has insisted that the FBI will not tolerate any withholding of documents and has pledged that all missing records will be turned over to the D.O.J. Bondi has remained firm in her demand that the full Epstein files be released without redactions or further delays.
With the FBI now under scrutiny, the public is left waiting to see whether the full truth about Epstein’s network will finally be revealed.
