Planned Parenthood Recommends Abortion For ‘Any Reason’

Pro-choice leftists of generations past frequently argued that abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare,” but in recent years it has become a point of pride among some activists to publicly celebrate their decisions to end the life of their developing children.

Planned Parenthood has long been at the forefront of promoting the notion that abortion is somehow good for society and the mothers who decide to end their own pregnancies — and this week the organization doubled down on that narrative with a controversial tweet.

Arguing that “any reason is the right reason” to have an abortion, the group left no doubt that it wants more women to announce to the world that they have decided to engage in a practice that many religions teach is tantamount to murder.

“Telling your abortion story is important, and the more we talk about this essential form of health care, the more normalized it becomes,” Planned Parenthood’s tweet continued.

The organization has also become more enmeshed with the transgender movement lately, as evidenced by the video that accompanied the post. In it, a biological woman living as a man recalled the decision to have an abortion.

“My abortion was one of the greatest acts of compassion I had ever committed,” said the individual identified as Lucky. “It was an easy decision, and it was a decision that for the friends I told I was trans, they were like, ‘Get it! You know, that’s fine. Like, great! You know, that’s your decision.’”

In July, Planned Parenthood published a blog post meant to provide pro-abortion activists with talking points when talking to pro-life individuals.

“The person you’re talking to might have very narrow and stereotypical ideas about why people get abortions, but there are many different reasons someone might need to have an abortion,” the organization advised. “They may not be able to care for a child. They may need to focus on the kids they already have. Pregnancy may be dangerous to their health or the pregnancy may be unhealthy. They may be unable to take time off work. They may be in an unhealthy or abusive relationship.”

Further driving home its mission to redefine — or perhaps eliminate — the meaning of gender, Planned Parenthood recently posted a tweet encouraging people to switch their identity on a whim.

“Bottom line: you and only you know how you feel about your gender identity, and you get to decide what identity fits you best,” the post stated. “It’s perfectly normal if that feeling and identity changes day-to-day or over time, so don’t limit yourself to one gender if it doesn’t feel right.”
