America-Hating Megan Rapinoe Costs US Chance At World Cup

U.S. Women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe is being ridiculed on social media after the openly anti-America player missed a penalty kick that could have given the American team the win necessary to move to the next round at the World Cup.

According to Breitbart News, Rapinoe’s “failed kick at goal [helped] to send the U.S.A. team crashing out of the soccer World Cup underway in New Zealand and Australia. Rapinoe and Sophia Smith missed penalties that could have given the U.S. the win, and Kelley O’Hara missed the Americans’ final shot to give Sweden the opening it needed.”

Rapinoe was interviewed after the dramatic failure, where she told reporters: “I mean, this is like a sick joke. For me personally, this is like a dark comedy that I missed a penalty. This is the balance to the beautiful side of the game. I think it can be cruel.”

This was the final game in Rapinoe’s international career, as she had previously announced that she was retiring after the World Cup. This failure prompted the earliest exit in tournament history for the U.S. — which has won the World Cup four times in the past, including the last two tournaments. The U.S. has never exited the tournament before the semi-final stage.

This year, the U.S. left the tournament in the last 16, after having won only one game — which was an unconvincing 3-0 defeat of Vietnam.

Rapinoe is known for pushing far-left woke causes, including her recent demands for allowing so-called “trans women” in women’s sports — which coincidentally came as she was planning to retire and would not be facing the consequences of such a decision.

Citing her past anti-America statements and her push of far-left causes, many social media users celebrated Rapinoe’s missed goal — ridiculing her in posts on X, formerly known as Twitter.

A meme video has gone viral of the missed goal, showing the ball flying through the air and hitting President Joe Biden in the head just before his infamous fall on stage at the Air Force Academy, causing the fall.

“The face you make when all your anti-America, woke whining still doesn’t make you good at your job,” wrote comedian Tim Young.

“She refused to honor her own country and then this happens. Karma! Next time Respect America and our National Anthem,” wrote comedian Terrence Williams.

“Maybe if Megan Rapinoe, the anti-American, anti-women woke color hair loser would concentrate on playing soccer and less on virtue signaling she wouldn’t miss the penalty kick,” wrote another popular account “I Meme Therefore I Am.”
