McCarthy Forces Reporter To Admit To Evidence Of Biden’s Corruption
During a Thursday press conference, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) cornered an Associated Press reporter who tried to question his decision to open an impeachment inquiry — forcing her to admit that there is plenty of evidence of President Joe Biden’s corruption.
While McCarthy was speaking with reporters on Thursday, Associated Press (AP) reporter Farnoush Amiri tried to question the House Speaker’s decision to open an impeachment inquiry — claiming that it was launched “without evidence.”
McCarthy quickly turned the tables on her, first pointing out that the purpose of an impeachment inquiry is to investigate and find evidence — then delving into the evidence that House Republicans have already uncovered.
“Are you concerned about all this stuff that was just recently learned?” McCarthy asked the AP reporter. “Do you have any concerns? Have you asked the White House any questions?”
“Yes,” the AP reporter responded.
“Do you believe the president lied to the American public when he said he’d never talked to his son about business dealings? Yes or no?” McCarthy pressed.
Despite clear evidence proving Biden did, in fact, lie about this, Amiri claimed that she “can’t answer” that question. However, this response didn’t deter McCarthy — as he continued to push back on the reporter, which eventually resulted in her admitting to several other pieces of evidence against the president.
“Do you believe when they said the president went on conference calls? Do you believe that happened?” McCarthy asked.
“That’s what the testimony says, yeah,” Amiri admitted.
“Do you believe the president went to Cafe Milano and had dinner with the clients of Hunter Biden, who believes he got those clients because he was selling ‘the brand’?” the House Speaker asked.
“That’s what the testimony said,” Amiri acknowledged.
“Do you believe Hunter Biden when you saw the video of him driving a Porsche that he got $143,000 to buy that Porsche the next day? Do you believe that $3 million from the Russian oligarch that was transferred to the shell companies that the Bidens controlled after the dinner from Cafe Milano took place?” McCarthy asked.
The AP reporter once again admitted that each of those allegations were testified to under oath, carefully avoiding actually admitting to them being “true” or “factual” — though her acknowledgment of the testimony is significant because the testimony is evidence.
However, Amiri ultimately ended up moving the goalposts at the end of the conversation — asking not about whether the evidence can be proven but whether lying is “an impeachable offense.”
“Well, do you want to know?” McCarthy asked in response.
In their analysis of the conversation, The Blaze wrote: “That final question underscores the media problem with the Biden family allegations: the legacy media is not interested in uncovering the truth about allegations of Biden family corruption. Instead, media outlets are taking cues from the White House and downplaying what House investigators have uncovered so far.”
