House Republicans Reveal Biden’s Disturbing Leniency Toward Illegal Migrants

The United States under President Joe Biden almost never deports illegal migrants from the country. That’s the word from a new report produced by House Judiciary Committee Republicans on the utter failure of the administration’s border policy.

Over 99% of illegal migrants released into the country’s interior from Jan. 2021 through March 2023 ended up staying.

Even more disturbing — if that’s possible — very few of those released to make the U.S. their new home were even screened for their claims of persecution. In other words, a free pass from the White House to remain.

The committee posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that it took “relentless efforts” to get the data from Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The report was released by Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Tom McClintock (R-CA). It revealed that officials only removed a shockingly low 5,993 individuals encountered at the southern border during the more than two-year period.

With at least 2.1 illegal aliens released into the U.S. during this time, this means that through immigration court removal proceedings, approximately 99.7% of these illegals were permitted to stay in the U.S. And most were unvetted.

In practical terms, all an illegal must do is show up at the border with a decent story.

These revelations came even as the Biden administration surprised fellow Democrats by falling back on former President Donald Trump’s border wall building program that actually worked.

Last week, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that border wall construction will resume. This course reversal is initially targeted toward regions of extreme border activity in Starr County, Texas.

But do not be deceived. The White House spent three years playing a shell game with illegal immigration, and there’s no reason to believe this is not more of the same.

While the administration wanted to tout “progress” along the southern border, it simultaneously opened different floodgates.

The controversial CBP One app is designed to allow illegal migrants to bypass the border altogether. Instead of crossing from Mexico, they simply download an app, fill out a form, and then fly into the U.S. interior without so much as a glance from immigration officials.

From there they are free to go where they like. It’s the equivalent of bricking up the front door and leaving the back door wide open. Americans should not be fooled.
