Abbott Announces Eagle Pass Military Base To Fight Invasion
Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott took another courageous stand against Biden’s border invasion on Friday. He revealed plans to construct a new military base camp in Eagle Pass to assist the state’s response to millions of illegal migrants pouring across the border.
Eagle Pass is now the flashpoint for the state’s attempts to protect its citizens and force Washington to finally act in the nation’s best interests.
The facility is expected to house as many as 2,300 Texas National Guard troops. Its obvious purpose is to secure the border and give authorities greater flexibility in responding to the border crisis.
Currently National Guard members are called from all corners of the state and forced to stay in hotels. The 80-acre site should buttress the Texas effort to secure its citizens against the rush of invaders.
Abbott on Friday announced the construction “will increase the ability for a larger number of Texas Military Department soldiers in Eagle Pass to operate more effectively and efficiently.”
The governor told the press conference that the first 300 beds should be ready by April, a remarkable feat.
With the November presidential election looming, the battle over the border is only going to get more contentious. President Joe Biden in recent weeks attempted to appear determined to solve the border issue, though it is only window dressing.
The White House went into full propaganda mode to blame Republicans for the record-breaking invasion. Voters, however, are not likely to be fooled.
They can clearly see what stalwarts such as Abbott and congressional Republicans are doing every day to pressure the federal government to close the border. The current situation is the creation of the Biden White House, and it is utterly unmanageable.
This is just the latest volley in Abbott’s masterful standoff with the Biden White House. As Democrats continue to throw the border wide open, the governor steadfastly refuses to bend the knee to the Oval Office and surrender.
Instead, he began the brilliant program of shipping illegal migrants to Democratic “sanctuary” cities. Now those metropolises are screaming of being “full” and demanding that Washington fix the porous southern border.
