Biden’s Border Crisis Shatters Record With 3.2 Million Migrants
Democrats who ridiculously claim the border is “secure” may need to rethink their rhetoric after the latest report from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Agents encountered a record high 3.2 million illegal migrants in fiscal year 2023.
A staggering 340,000 illegal migrant encounters were reported in September alone, according to data revealed over the weekend. This shattered the previous record high and does not include the many who doubtlessly slipped by authorities.
Of the record 3.2 million, almost 2.48 million were along the country’s open southern border.
Also alarming is the record number of people on the terror watchlist caught trying to enter the country. Under Biden’s watch, there were 487 encounters at the northern border and 249 along the border with Mexico during the fiscal year.
Acting CBP Commissioner Troy Miller claimed agents and resources “surged” at the southern border.
He also noted “large migrant groups traveling on freight trains” to the U.S. and said CBP is “preparing for direct repatriations to Venezuela.”
The numbers for the fiscal year, which ended Sept. 30, are a stark reminder of the ineptitude of the Biden administration in securing the nation from an all-out invasion.
The White House recently stepped up its claims that the president’s border policies were working, but the data showed the opposite.
Of the over two million arrested, 99% came across the southern border with Mexico. An incredible 1.3 million of the illegals were single adults — mostly military-age males, and 131,000 were unaccompanied children.
House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) ripped the Biden administration for the obvious failure. “These numbers demonstrate beyond a doubt that Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas’ refusal to enforce the law and secure our border is jeopardizing our safety and security.”
For comparison’s sake, 2023 under Biden saw a record 2.06 million border arrests. That compares to 850,000 in 2019 under former President Donald Trump.
Biden rolled out the red carpet, and what followed was exactly what the Democratic administration expected and wanted. The White House sought to fundamentally change the country, and security and economic issues were cast aside like yesterday’s newspaper.
