China has announced trade sanctions on major US defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics and Raytheon. The move is widely seen as an early message to the incoming administration of President Donald Trump, signaling China’s intent to push back against American policies.

Analysts suggest the move may be the opening salvo in a new chapter of US-China trade negotiations. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) appears to be preparing for potential economic and military confrontations under the Trump administration, which is expected to take a tougher stance on China.

Chairman Xi Jinping, known for his long-term strategic vision, seems to be laying the groundwork for China’s response to anticipated shifts in US-China relations under Trump’s leadership. Despite the limited immediate impact of these sanctions, they add to the growing tension between the two superpowers.
