CNN’s Tapper Confesses Trump ‘Right’ About Hunter’s Chinese Income
CNN has been cornered into stating the obvious concerning President Joe Biden’s patently false claims over son Hunter’s business dealings with Communist China.
Host Jake Tapper on Thursday admitted that the Democratic president did not tell the truth in the 2020 presidential debates with then-President Donald Trump. He showed a video to his panelists of Biden claiming that Hunter did not profit from interactions with China.
Tapper confessed that the younger Biden’s July court testimony flatly contradicted his father’s assertions in the debate.
In the video clip, Trump stated that Hunter Biden “made a fortune in Ukraine, in China, in Moscow…” The Democratic candidate interrupted Trump and declared his accusations were “simply not true.”
Following the footage, Tapper declared that “Trump was right, I mean, he did make a fortune from China and Joe Biden was wrong. I don’t know that he was lying about it. You might not have been told by Hunter but this blind spot is a problem.”
Panelist and Republican pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson asserted that Hunter’s dealings are indeed a problem because the GOP will continue to pursue them. She also said that the problems are ongoing in the legal system and will be impossible to avoid.
Certainly the Biden White House is currently unable to avoid the issue.
On Friday, Daily Caller reporter Diana Glebova asked National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan if Hunter Biden’s ties with Beijing present a national security issue.
Sullivan sidestepped the question, saying “I don’t have any comment on that.”
Tapper’s panel was joined by former Democratic Michigan Rep. Andy Levin, who attempted to put a positive spin on the president’s misrepresentation. He cited a parent’s “blind spot” concerning their children.
Most parents, however, do not have a blind spot over $20 million in questionable income from foreign entities.
Levin suggested there is no evidence tying the elder Biden to Hunter’s business dealings. “And it’s, you know, I think it’s not something that voters care a lot about.” Perhaps Democratic voters do not, but the rest believe that corruption has no place in the White House.
It was June when an IRS whistleblower revealed a text message from Hunter to Chinese businessman Henry Zhao that strongly suggested his father was in the room with him.
Hunter wrote that if his demands were not met, “I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.”
He added, “I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”
