Concerns Mount As Muslim Rioters Destroy Church Statue
Recent events in London have raised alarm over what some see as biased law enforcement and media coverage. At St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Wembley, a statue of Mother Mary was found smashed amid ongoing protests and counter-protests related to mass migration.
A church member, speaking on condition of anonymity, expressed dismay at the lack of media attention. “I wanted to push the message out that Christians are being attacked too,” he told GB News. “It’s not only about the church, it’s about the attack on Christians worldwide.”
Meanwhile, in nearby Croydon, a riot involving at least 50 people led to eight arrests. Despite video evidence showing the mob chanting “Allahu Akbar,” police described the incident only as “pure anti-social behavior.”
This characterization has fueled accusations of a “two-tier” approach to policing. Critics argue that authorities, including Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, have been quick to label anti-mass migration demonstrators as “far-right thugs” while being more lenient with Muslim and far-left counter-protesters.
The Croydon riot was reportedly triggered by false rumors of a “far-right” demonstration near a local mosque. However, this planned protest never actually took place.
As tensions continue to rise, many are calling for equal protection and fair treatment of all communities affected by the unrest. The church member’s plea resonates with many: “If the police actually did their job and protected all citizens, I think that would be positive.”
