The American Accountability Foundation (AAF), a conservative organization, is actively identifying federal employees who might undermine President Donald Trump’s agenda if he wins a second term. According to The Associated Press (AP), the AAF, with a $100,000 grant from the Heritage Foundation, is scrutinizing the backgrounds, social media activity, and public comments of high-ranking government officials.

Starting with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the AAF plans to compile and publish a list of 100 federal employees deemed potentially hostile to Trump’s objectives. “We need to understand who these people are and what they do,” said Tom Jones, head of the AAF. The goal is to expose these individuals so they can be criticized, reclassified, reassigned, or dismissed if necessary.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts supports the AAF’s efforts, describing the initiative as a response to the “weaponization of the federal government” by entrenched leftist bureaucrats. He emphasized the need to hold the government accountable and to eliminate bad actors.

This initiative aligns with the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, which aims to prepare policies and personnel for a future conservative administration. Project 2025 is designed to ensure that a potential Trump administration can effectively implement its agenda without internal resistance from federal employees.

The AAF’s efforts reflect a broader conservative strategy to address concerns about the so-called “deep state” and to ensure that Trump’s policy goals can be achieved without bureaucratic interference if he returns to office.
