Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has sounded the alarm about the potential for one-party rule in the U.S. if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the 2024 presidential election. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk expressed his concerns that the Democratic Party is working to cement their control over the nation, similar to how they dominate California politics.

Musk, who has become increasingly vocal about political issues, pointed to California as a cautionary example. He believes the state’s one-party control has led to overregulation, a hostile business environment, and rampant litigation. “The only thing stopping the California government and overbearing regulatory agencies from being even worse is that people and companies can move out of state,” Musk said, warning that if Harris wins, the entire country could become like California.

Musk also suggested that Harris is part of a larger Democratic strategy to secure permanent control by packing the Supreme Court, importing millions of illegal immigrants, and granting statehood to Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. These moves, he argued, would eliminate the possibility of Republican leadership on a national scale.

Musk’s frustration with California is well-known. He moved Tesla’s headquarters to Texas in 2021 and recently announced plans to relocate the X headquarters from San Francisco, citing the state’s restrictive policies. Musk believes that the same forces driving California’s one-party rule are now seeking to do the same nationwide.

In his warning, Musk emphasized that America’s future is at stake, and that without a competitive two-party system, the nation risks becoming a version of California with no escape for businesses or citizens.
