Fox Corporation Leaders Donate To Manchin’s Reelection Campaign
Newly revealed Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show that Fox Corporation executives are contributing heavily to Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) reelection campaign. Documents show multiple donors sent in excess of $6,500 to the Democrat.
Manchin is one of the few from his party to regularly appear on the conservative network. He consistently warns of fiscal dangers tied to President Joe Biden’s reckless spending along with schemes of his fellow Democrats.
According to the Intercept, FOXPAC, Fox’s political action committee, reportedly gave $8,500 to Manchin earlier this year.
The outlet noted that, prior to last spring, no Fox executive had donated to Manchin’s political cause since 2018.
Interestingly, the maverick senator may have his sights set on a target above the U.S. Senate.
Manchin in recent weeks has flirted with the idea of running for president through a third party bid. He clarified that he would not compete for the Democratic nomination with incumbent President Joe Biden or challenger Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The current Democrat asserted that he is not looking to be a spoiler, but would enter the race with designs on winning the White House.
Manchin said that he’s “never been in any race I’ve ever spoiled. And if I get in a race, I’m going to win.”
The self-proclaimed moderate aimed his criticisms at both major parties. “We’re here to make sure the American people have an option, and the option is can you move the American political parties off their respective sides? They’ve gone too far right and too far left.”
His proclamation of a possible “unity ticket” would create fierce alarm among his Democratic colleagues.
The clear possibility exists that a moderate alternative to the radical Biden would skim enough votes to sway the election to the Republican alternative — most likely former President Donald Trump.
That is something that the Democratic Party and their media allies will fight tooth and nail. They have clearly shown that nothing will stand in the way of their attempts to derail the campaign of the GOP 2024 frontrunner.
A possible match for Manchin awaits with the No Labels Party. It regularly pitches itself as an alternative to partisan politics and said recently that it planned to raise $70 million to prop up a prospective candidate for 2024.
