An apparent leak of the Georgia grand jury’s indictment on Monday of former President Donald Trump and 18 others is above the paygrade of controversial Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Before Monday night’s official announcement, a document was posted on Fulton County’s website listing charges.

It was subsequently taken down, though its charges exactly matched those handed down by the grand jury.

A reporter confronted Willis about the apparent leak Monday evening. She was asked about the misstep and contentions by Trump’s lawyers that it “is emblematic of a serious problem with your office.”

Willis, of course, feigned ignorance. “I can’t tell you anything about what you refer to…I am not an expert on clerks’ duties or even administrative duties. And so I’m not going to speculate.”

The DA instead turned her focus to the witch hunt targeting the 2024 GOP presidential frontrunner and his associates. Among those indicted were former Republican New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliana and lawyers Jenna Ellis, John Eastman and Sidney Powell.

Monday evening’s predictable announcement revealed charges against 19 total defendants accusing Trump and his team of attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

The 98-page indictment lists 41 overall criminal counts. Each defendant is charged with racketeering, an action normally reserved for organized crime syndicates that carries a possible 20-year prison sentence upon conviction.

The indictment stated that Trump and the others accused “refused to accept that Trump lost, and they knowingly and willfully joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump.”

The Georgia case stemmed from a phone call from the former president to the Peach State’s top election official, Brad Raffensperger. Trump lamented the close election and wondered if there were ballots left uncounted.

From this, Willis and the Fulton County DA’s office spent two years building an indictment against Trump. Monday night’s revelation is just the latest in the Democratic crusade to derail the 2024 campaign that looks to unseat President Joe Biden.

Trump now faces charges reminiscent of an organized crime boss. Such action is beneath the dignity of the U.S. judicial system and will be strenuously challenged by the former president’s legal team.
