Illegal Alien Suspect In Michigan Murder Was Deported By Trump
An illegal alien who was deported four years ago by the Trump administration has been charged with the murder of a Michigan woman.
Brandon Ortiz-Vite, a 25-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, has been arraigned on six charges related to the murder of his girlfriend, 25-year-old Ruby Garcia — including murder, carjacking, felony firearm possession, illegally carrying a concealed weapon, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving on a suspended or revoked license. He was arrested after Garcia’s body was discovered on the side of the road on US 131 in Grand Rapids, dead from multiple gunshots. The illegal alien is facing multiple life sentences in this case.
Ortiz-Vite has a long criminal history inside the U.S., which prompted the Trump administration to deport him in 2020. He was arrested in July 2017 for driving without a license or with a non-valid license, for which he pleaded guilty and paid a $250 fine. Local news outlet WOODTV also reported that, in 2018, Ortiz-Vite had pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for illegally entering a residence in a Wyoming suburb and was sentenced to one year of probation, though he ended up violating the terms and served 30 days in jail.
The illegal alien was arrested for breaking and entering in 2018 and for operating a vehicle while intoxicated in 2020, according to the Kent County Court, which noted that Ortiz-Vite was wanted on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court related to the 2020 charges. He had been released on personal recognizance for this crime.
Ortiz-Vite was ultimately deported to Mexico by the Trump administration in September 2020, but later reentered the U.S. thanks to President Joe Biden’s disastrous open-border policies — which allowed him to murder his girlfriend.
Conservatives have slammed Biden over Garcia’s death, arguing that his policies directly contributed to her murder.
“How many more Americans need to die before Biden does something about our open border?!” wrote popular X user Libs of TikTok.
This is just the latest in a long line of crimes committed by illegal aliens, which have been the focus of many conservatives’ arguments against the Democrats’ border crisis. Just a few weeks before Garcia’s death, another illegal alien murdered a Georgia nursing student. Jose Ibarra, an alleged member of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, was arrested for the brutal murder of Laken Riley in late February.
