Concerns are growing about the integrity of voter rolls in critical battleground states, according to a new report by Paul Ingrassia. With President Donald Trump widening his poll lead over Vice President Kamala Harris, questions about the security of the election process are resurfacing. Ingrassia warns that potentially tens of thousands of ineligible voters, including noncitizens, may be on the voter rolls in key states like Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin and Michigan.

The Trump campaign’s strategy has focused on encouraging a high voter turnout to make the election “too big to rig.” However, with 7.2 million illegal immigrants entering the U.S. in the last four years, concerns are rising that some of them may have found their way onto the voter rolls in key states. Ingrassia suggests that even a small percentage of ineligible voters could sway the outcome in battlegrounds where elections have been decided by razor-thin margins in the past.

States with Democratic governors — including Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin and Michigan — are under particular scrutiny. These states, with a combined 55 electoral votes, could determine the outcome of the election. Ingrassia argues that the Republican National Committee (RNC) must adopt an aggressive strategy, using counter-lawfare to challenge voter roll discrepancies and ensure a fair election process.

The issue of voter roll integrity is not new. In 2020, Trump narrowly lost states like Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona by just over 42,000 votes combined — reportedly. Ingrassia points out that a small number of ineligible voters could tip the balance in 2024, making it essential for the RNC to take immediate action.
