In a courageous display of rare journalistic integrity, former New York Post reporter Emma-Jo Morris gave riveting testimony to the House Judiciary Committee on Weaponization of the Federal Government on Thursday.

Presently employed by Breitbart News, Morris broke the October 2020 story of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop. The immediate backlash from U.S. intelligence officials and their media lapdogs stifled the news until well after the November presidential election.

But the truth eventually won, and even those who disparaged the laptop and its contents as “Russian disinformation” were forced to face the music.

And Morris is courageously telling her saga.

While she acknowledged that the laptop contained “some of the most scandalous reporting of the last decade,” that was not even the main event. Rather, it was how the intelligence community rallied with social media and the mainstream media to stifle the story.

As is well known, the bombshell report by Morris should have rocked the nation mere days before the 2020 presidential election.

In a series of revelations in the New York Post, she exposed through emails from Hunter Biden’s hard drive how “Ukrainian business partners received leaks from the Obama White House.” She further detailed “an off-the-books meeting” between the then-vice president and a Burisma executive.

The Post went to great lengths to reveal how the facts were found. It provided sources and the federal subpoena that showed the FBI had the laptop in their possession.

Morris told Congress, however, that the stories appearing on social media drew a harsh reaction from the U.S. government. As she noted, “the reporting was censored on all major platforms on the basis of being called hacked [and] Russian disinformation.”

Within hours, the reporting disappeared across the internet. If that is not the textbook definition of election interference, one does not exist.

Twitter, which of course was not owned by Elon Musk at the time, even blocked users from sharing the story in private messages. Founder and then-CEO Jack Dorsey would later apologize to Congress, but by then Biden was in the White House.

Morris testified that the claims of “Russian disinformation” appeared to come out of thin air, but that was proven not to be the case. Instead, they originated from the Biden presidential campaign.

The disgrace is how compliant both the U.S. intelligence community and the legacy media were in invoking mass censorship days before the election. And not a single person has been punished because of it.
