RFK Jr.’s Former Running Mate Exposes ‘Abuse’ of Justice System Against Trump
Nicole Shanahan, the former running mate of independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has recently voiced concerns about the justice system being manipulated by those with political agendas. Following news of a new grand jury indictment against President Donald Trump, Shanahan admitted that she initially dismissed claims of Trump being persecuted. However, after her recent experiences, she now believes the justice system is being “co-opted and abused” by people with “malevolent political agendas.”
Shanahan, an attorney, shared her revelations on social media, stating that her first cross-examination in a New York Ballot Access case opened her eyes to the reality of political persecution. “OK, I get it now,” she wrote, acknowledging that her previous skepticism was based on a distorted media narrative.
Shanahan’s remarks come after she and Kennedy ended their campaign, with Kennedy endorsing Trump for a second term. Shanahan has been vocal about the Democratic Party’s efforts to sabotage their campaign, accusing the DNC-aligned Clear Choice PAC of funneling millions of dollars to disrupt their efforts. She described the extent of the sabotage as “mindblowing,” noting that they were shadowbanned, kept off stages, and targeted with lawsuits in multiple states.
Expressing her trust in Trump’s leadership over that of the current administration, Shanahan’s statements reflect a growing concern among some that the justice system is being weaponized for political gain. Her comments highlight the deepening divide over the fairness and integrity of the American justice system in politically charged cases.
