Rival African Eritrean Migrant Gangs Clash In North Carolina

In Joe Biden’s America, there is no need to travel to enjoy the benefits of third-world culture. Democrats are determined to bring that culture right to your doorstep, and a prime example played out in North Carolina on Saturday.

Rival gangs of African Eritrean migrants violently clashed recently for more than 10 hours at a cultural festival in Charlotte. The standoff featured police officers being assailed with rocks and sticks and projectiles — a tractor trailer was even set on fire.

Eight rival gangg members were arrested, including one female who allegedly attacked an officer. She was found to be in possession of a weapon, which was seized by law enforcement. The suspect was further charged with inciting to riot, failure to disperse and injury to personal property.

The other seven were charged with failure to disperse and impeding traffic.

The violence began at around 11:30 a.m. at the Eritrean cultural celebration. Police were called to respond to an “unlawful protest,” and when they arrived they asked the crowd to disperse, which the gathering refused to do.

A Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) press release said the crowd was on private property but was spilling out onto the road, prompting officers to close the thoroughfare. 

As dispersal orders were ignored, shortly after 3 p.m., Bike Unit officers attempted to move the demonstrators out of the street. That’s when trouble really started.

Projectiles of many varieties were hurled at law enforcement. The department said “several protesters threw objects and pushed back against the officers.” This led to the police using pepper spray, which resulted in several demonstrators and officers alike being treated at the scene.

At roughly 6:30 p.m. another round of dispersal orders was given. By 7:20, the CMPD’s Civil Emergency Unit was sent in to disperse the crowds, and yet again, they were met with violence.

This continued for hours, and police stated, “Protesters then intentionally set fire to a nearby tractor-trailer. The Charlotte Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire and contained the scene.”

At approximately 9 p.m., law enforcement was successful in restoring order and getting the African migrants to leave the area.
