Swatting Hits Conservative Stars As FBI Vows Action

A disturbing wave of swatting has swept across the U.S., targeting well-known conservative media figures in recent days. This dangerous act involves fake emergency calls that bring armed police to people’s homes with the idea that there is a dangerous situation, with reports generally involving the false claim that there is somebody at the scene using or threatening to use a firearm. FBI Director Kash Patel has stepped up, calling it a serious issue that threatens lives, and he’s promising to hunt down those behind it.
The trouble started early this week. Conservative radio host Joe Pags found himself in the crosshairs on March 12 when a false report sent police to his doorstep. The Daily Mail reported, “Conservative radio host Joe ‘Pags’ Pagliarulo revealed video footage of a man outside his home with a rifle,” capturing the tense moment. Pags didn’t stop there — he contacted Patel directly, pushing for a federal investigation into what he sees as a targeted attack.
Nick Sortor, an independent journalist, faced a double blow. Not only was his own home swatted, but his family got hit too. The Gateway Pundit noted, “Several conservative figures including Nick Sortor, Gunther Eagleman, and Shawn Farash have been swatted over the last couple of days.” Sortor shared that a caller told police his dad was harming his family, a lie meant to provoke a deadly response.
Gunther Eagleman, a vocal conservative influencer, also got a late-night visit from law enforcement. The Post Millennial wrote, “Gunther Eagleman said he was also the victim of a swatting attack,” with a fake “hostage situation” call triggering the chaos. His brother Mike wasn’t spared either, facing a similar scare hours later in Indiana.
Chase Geiser from InfoWars endured two swatting incidents in just 12 hours, the second striking before 2 a.m. on March 14. The Daily Mail stated, “Infowars host Chase Geiser posted video of police putting him in handcuffs after a person called 911 pretending to be the media personality.” The repeated hits left him shaken but defiant.
Patel isn’t mincing words. The Post Millennial quoted him saying, “This isn’t about politics — weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including those of our officers.” He’s partnering with local police to stop this spree, which saw at least 10 cases on March 13 alone, per an FBI official.
Other names like Shawn Farash and “Catturd” — swatted for the fourth time — popped up too. The Gateway Pundit added, “Catturd and Gunther’s brother Mike were also swatted this morning,” showing how wide this net has spread. Patel’s team is digging in, and more updates are expected soon.
