Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles are under fire from Trump supporters for hiring former DeSantis campaign operatives to manage America PAC. The PAC, which is funded by Elon Musk, brought in Generra Peck and Phil Cox, both of whom played key roles in DeSantis’ struggling campaign.

This decision has sparked outrage among Trump loyalists, who worry that bringing in DeSantis operatives could damage Trump’s campaign. DeSantis’ strategy has been widely criticized for failing to connect with voters, and many fear that adopting similar tactics within Trump’s PAC could weaken his efforts in key states.

Peck and Cox have already dismantled the previous team, firing loyal Trump vendors and replacing them with their own people. This shake-up, coming just weeks before early voting, has raised concerns about the campaign’s readiness.

LaCivita has supported the move, claiming the new team is an improvement. However, Trump insiders are skeptical, pointing out that DeSantis’ campaign failed to gain momentum. They argue that relying on the same team could hurt Trump’s chances in battleground states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona.

Trump’s loyal base has expressed frustration that LaCivita continues to favor establishment figures over longtime Trump supporters. Some believe that this pattern could weaken Trump’s grassroots efforts as the election approaches.

While other Trump-aligned groups like Turning Point Action continue to support the president, there are concerns that the involvement of DeSantis operatives could impact the campaign’s success.
