During his Friday evening speech at the California GOP Convention, former President Donald Trump vowed to “liberate California from communist rule” and called out the state’s Democrat politicians.

The 90-minute speech covered a range of issues Californians are facing, including the politicians who are “devouring the future of this state.”

“The mission to help you liberate California from communist rule begins at noon on Inauguration Day 2025,” Trump promised.

The Republican primary frontrunner then slammed leftist politicians representing California, vowing: “Together, we will take on the ultra left-wing liars, losers, creeps, perverts, and freaks who are devouring the future of this state like a swarm of locusts.”

As the crowd cheered, Trump went on to condemn Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) — calling her “crazy Nancy” and arguing that she “ruined San Francisco.”

“How’s her husband doing, by the way, anybody knows? And she’s against building a wall at our border. Even though she has a wall around her house. Which obviously didn’t do a very good job,” he added.

Trump went on to discuss Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) — citing the Democrat congresswoman’s call for attacks on members of the Trump administration, where she encouraged her supporters in 2018 to confront Trump allies “in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

“Maxine Waters, very nice woman,” Trump said. “How come she can say things so violently, ‘You will go with and attack them in a restaurant you’ll do this, that,’ nothing happens. If I say, ‘peacefully and patriotically,’ [then] ‘Oh, there’s an Insurrection going on here.’ Maxine Waters… If I ever spoke like her, it would be the electric chair times 15 for me.”

Trump’s speech also included digs at Vice President Kamala Harris (D), California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). His comments elicited laughter from the audience and later earned praise on social media.

However, the most viral moment of the speech ended up being Trump’s imitation of President Joe Biden — where he mocked him for repeatedly getting lost on stage during many of his events.

“Does anybody think he’s going to make it to the starting gate? I mean the guy can’t find his way off of a stage,” Trump said, referring to Biden, as he pretended to walk confusedly around the stage.
