President Donald Trump’s newly appointed border czar, Tom Homan, has made it clear that under the next administration, no illegal immigrant in the U.S. will be safe from deportation

Homan, who served as the acting director for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), addressed concerns about sanctuary cities during an interview on Fox News, stating that every person who entered the country illegally will face removal.

Homan’s comments were in response to Democrats who have pledged to obstruct federal immigration enforcement, particularly when it comes to dangerous criminal aliens. He emphasized that his administration would focus on those posing a threat to public safety and national security first.

“What politician, whether you’re a mayor or governor, is saying, ‘No, I want public safety threats to remain in my community?’” Homan said, questioning the logic behind opposing the deportation of criminals.

He further criticized sanctuary policies that shield illegal immigrants from law enforcement. Homan pointed out that these policies often allow criminal aliens to remain in the community, putting innocent residents at risk. When ICE agents arrive to deport these criminals, they sometimes encounter other illegal immigrants, who are then also subject to deportation.

The former ICE director also warned against offering amnesty to illegal immigrants, stressing that such measures would only encourage more unlawful border crossings. He explained that without consequences, the flow of illegal immigration would continue. “If you don’t have consequences, they’re going to keep coming,” Homan said. He made it clear that the U.S. must stop rewarding illegal immigration, or the border crisis will persist.

Homan emphasized the legal aspect of illegal immigration, stating that anyone who crosses the border unlawfully is committing a crime. “Every illegal alien that crossed that border committed a crime,” he declared. He vowed that under Trump’s administration, those who are ordered to leave the U.S. will be forced to do so. “You can have your day in court, but when you’re ordered removed, you’re going to leave,” Homan said, reinforcing the administration’s stance on enforcing immigration laws.
