Conservative star Tucker Carlson was mobbed by Spanish protesters in Madrid Monday. One woman frantically begged him to save her country from its socialist government.

Millions of Spanish citizens flooded the nation’s streets to protest the highly controversial agreement the socialist government reached with Catalan separatists and Basque nationalists. These criminal elements violently sought to secede from Spain.

Carlson moved slowly through the Madrid streets, taking time to speak with fellow conservatives troubled by their government’s radical shift. He found many like minds along the way.

The well-traveled commentator was at Madison Square Garden Saturday night flanking 2024 Republican frontrunner Donald Trump in a grand entrance before adoring fans.

As in the U.S., the European mainstream press can be counted on to stand against the populist will of the people. Euronews blasted Carlson as a “hero of the alt-right press” and the “guru” of the “ultra-right-wing.”

The outlet lamented the hero’s welcome Carlson received, noting the most commonly heard statement in Madrid was, “Shall we take a picture with him?”

Euronews breathlessly asked what Carlson was doing on their side of the Atlantic. It was obviously disheartening to the left-wing media to see an American conservative receive adulation from the masses opposing Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

Interestingly, the outlet never referred to Sanchez as “far-left” or a member of the “ultra-left.”

One reporter asked Carlson how the rest of the world sees the troubled country. He replied, “Anybody who would violate your constitution, potentially use physical violence to end democracy, is a dictator…We thought it deserved more coverage than it’s getting.”

Much of the nation is outraged by the deal Sanchez made last week, considering it in essence a coup to retain power. The agreement pledged amnesty to everyone from criminals to communists in exchange for their support to keep him in power.

Is it any wonder the nation is outraged?

As for Carlson, Fox News only made him a bigger star when they made the historic mistake of parting ways with their primary breadwinner. Tens of millions follow his new program that launched on X, formerly Twitter.

And his reach now stretches across the ocean.
