Pro wrestling legend Hulk Hogan added to his impressive legacy Sunday night when he helped rescue a 17-year-old girl from a flipped car in Tampa, Florida.

Hogan, who was born Terry Gene Bollea, was with his wife and a friend on a freeway when they witnessed a horrific crash. According to TMZ, the wrestling icon and his entourage were able to secure the crash victim’s release by popping her airbag and freeing her from the seatbelt.

The outlet published photos from the scene showing the vehicle on its top. Hogan and his wife, Sky Daily, could be seen watching as paramedics arrived and began assisting the young woman in the wreck.

Hogan tweeted that he did not have a knife but was able to use a ballpoint pen to free the girl from the wreckage. He added, “thank you God, all is well.”

Daily posted an account of the frightening incident afterward on X, formerly Twitter.

She wrote, “Last night, after we left dinner in Tampa we saw a car flip in front of us! I truly admire my husband @hulkhogan and our good buddy @jakerask for springing into action, puncturing the girl’s airbag, and getting her quickly out of the car.”

An online fan wrote, “Imagine flipping your car, and the first thing you hear is ‘you all right, brother?!.” This of course was a reference to the internationally famous wrestler’s iconic phrases.

Daily posted that the young girl was obviously rattled but “unscathed,” calling it an “absolute miracle.”

Friend Jake Rask told Fox 13, “We are just glad she’s OK, and God put us there at the right time.”

According to TMZ, a car unexpectedly swerved to reach an offramp it missed and clipped another in the process. That was the teenage girl’s vehicle which flipped and turned upside down.

Hogan and his wife made the news recently for another dramatic event. The two were shown in a video being baptized last month at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida.

The former wrestler wrote a message to accompany the video. “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment, only love!”
