Joy Reid On Hot Mic: Biden ‘Gonna Start Another F—ing War’

During a hot mic moment on Monday, MSNBC host Joy Reid was caught saying what many Americans can already see, lamenting that President Joe Biden was going to “start another f—ing war.”

While Reid and her colleagues at MSNBC have constantly defended and celebrated Biden’s presidency, it appears that she has another opinion behind the scenes. When someone forgot to turn off Reid’s microphone while a clip of Biden played on Monday’s episode of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” the host was heard complaining that the president was “starting another f—ing war.”

Prior to the hot mic moment, Reid was whining that Republicans “latch on” to “successful policies” from Democrats and the Biden administration but never take action themselves on issues like the border crisis — ignoring the fact that House Republicans have put forward legislation on the border crisis, but Senate Democrats refuse to take up that legislation and instead offer a “bipartisan deal” that only exacerbates the problem.

“Congressional Republicans love to latch on to President Biden and Democrats’ successful policies and take credit for things they didn’t do while tying themselves into pretzels to do nothing for the American people for the sake of Donald Trump,” she falsely claimed. “Case in point, fixing what they say is a crisis at the border with congressional negotiators continuing work on a bipartisan deal to tie border policies to funding for Ukraine. Over the weekend President Biden said he’s ready to take action if Congress is serious about solving the issue.”

The show then cut to a clip of Biden falsely claiming that he did not have the proper authority to take action on the border crisis and needed Congress to pass the legislation.

“If that bill were the law today, I would shut down the border now. Congress needs to get it done,” the president said during a Saturday appearance in South Carolina.

While the clip played, Reid could be heard off-camera stating: “Starting another f—ing war.”

It is unclear which of the many potential wars that Biden is close to starting Reid was referring to — as it could be the potential war with Russia over NATO expansion and Ukraine, the potential war with China over Taiwan, the potential war with Iran over attacks on U.S. soldiers and commercial vessels in the Middle East or the potential civil war with Texas over border security.

Reid did end up apologizing for the incident at the end of the show, though she did not acknowledge her criticism of Biden or the fact that her words directly contradict the propaganda she pushes on her viewers. Instead, she only apologized for swearing.

“Before we go, I just want to apologize very quickly. I was chatting during a clip that was playing, and you know, we try to keep this show very PG-13. I just want to apologize to anyone who was listening to my behind-the-scenes chatter. I’m deeply, deeply sorry for that. As you know, it’s PG-13 around here,” she said at the end of the broadcast.
