It takes a mighty stretch of the imagination to accuse left-wing MSNBC of being in former President Donald Trump’s camp, but former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is anything but grounded. On Monday, she leveled this charge against network host Katy Tur.

Tur’s unforgivable sin? Pointing out obvious facts that completely derailed the Democrat’s rhetoric.

Pelosi claimed that Trump was the worst president in U.S. history for job loss while praising President Joe Biden for his incredible record of job creation. She claimed the incumbent “created nine million jobs in his term in office.

There’s just one small issue.

The COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020 brought about the job “losses” Pelosi lamented, and it was only when the government reopened the economy that most — but not all — of these positions returned.

Any reasonable observer knows that Trump did not cause employment to crash and Biden did not miraculously rescue the economy.

And Tur had the audacity to note this reality to the obviously addled Pelosi, who reacted with stunned vigor. The host simply supplied context, “That was a global pandemic.”

And that was enough for Pelosi to explode. “He had the worst record of any president. We’ve had other concerns in our country. If you want to be an apologist for Donald Trump, that may be your role, but it ain’t mine.”

Tur responded by stating the obvious. “I don’t think anybody can accuse me of that.”

If there ever is the need to produce stark evidence of just how far removed from reality Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Party is, this interview supplied it.

To accuse MSNBC — of all networks — of being in Trump’s back pocket simply for slipping up and being honest is an incredible display of incompetence.
