The results may have surprised CNN pollsters when they found that significantly more Americans trust congressional Republicans with the nation’s economy than President Joe Biden.

Few others, however, would find that tally shocking.

It is hardly good news for the White House and Biden’s reelection campaign. A mere 45% of U.S. voters trust the president with the nation’s finances, well below the 54% who trusted GOP lawmakers more.

Also alarming for the party in the Oval Office was CNN’s finding that 51% of Americans believe the nation is in an economic slump and headed downward.

The Biden camp recently began touting “Bidenomics,” a laughable concept for anyone paying attention. But it was dutifully picked up by their media lapdogs and trumpeted as a turnaround from the horrors inherited from former President Donald Trump.

Only, Americans are not buying that narrative.

CNN, being what it is, attempted to run cover for the unpopular president. The network justified the numbers by saying the country is “increasingly polarized” and that the results are “less frequently responsive to real-world events.”

In other words, Biden’s economy is roaring along but voters are too partisan to realize it.

The outlet had no choice but to recognize that presidents hopeful of a second term in office almost always have more support than Biden currently enjoys. As for the overall state of the country, the results proved far worse.

A startling 71% of respondents believed things in the U.S. are going poorly. That compares to only 29% who described the current climate as “well.”

And how important is the nation’s economy to voters? CNN found that 44% cite an issue related to the economy as their number one concern for the country. Inflation and the cost of living were listed by 19%, the general economy by 16%, and finances and money by 3%.

For perspective, no other issue garnered top concern from over 10% of Americans.

The results clearly show that Biden has a massive hill to climb in 2024.

Voters are most worried over the economy and simultaneously give the president a nearly historical low vote of confidence.

That shows just how desperate Democrats are to clear the path for another four years in the White House. Is it any wonder that Biden and his cohorts are doing everything in their power to disqualify his most powerful opponent?
