With Democratic-led “sanctuary” cities crumbling under the weight of getting what they asked for, President Joe Biden is considering a policy to punish Texas for being proactive. It would force illegal migrants to remain in the Lone Star State.

Under the twisted White House logic, this would relieve pressure from Democratic strongholds such as New York City and Chicago.

Big Apple Mayor Eric Adams is building an industry on bemoaning the arrival of tens of thousands of illegals to his sanctuary. Meanwhile, the Biden administration would force Texas to house millions.

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott spoke to Blaze Media’s Glenn Beck about the Biden-fueled crisis. The host called it “the biggest game-changing border policy I have seen in almost 50 years of broadcast.”

Abbott’s program of shipping illegal migrants to these protesting cities led to them revolting against the White House. The governor noted that these cities proclaim they want one and all to stay within their borders — as long as the people never actually come.

The tune quickly changes when the illegal migrants show up on their doorstep. Abbott observed that the cities immediately reverse course and “collapse like a cheap tent.”

But now the Biden administration is floating a scheme to stop the migration throughout the country. The Los Angeles Times cited three unnamed sources who revealed the idea intended to stem the tide of illegal migrants.

The Biden plan does nothing to keep migrants out of the country and on the Mexican side of the border. Rather, it would corral them in Texas and placate the complaining leaders of deep blue cities currently taking in illegals.

The idea is to keep border crossers in Texas or possibly other border areas by using GPS devices to track their location. Ankle bracelets are a possibility, according to the Times.

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sugarcoated the government’s official policy in a statement to Fox News Digital. They claimed DHS is “committed to expanding safe and orderly pathways for migrants to lawfully enter the United States.”

They humorously added that there will be “consequences” for those who do not follow the government-proscribed “pathways.”

If the Biden administration truly looked out for American interests, it would forcefully stem the tide from crossing the border at all. But it is not, and instead it will create even more of a burden for states that are unfortunate enough to be located next to Mexico.
