In a new poll, Democrats’ support for President Joe Biden dropped by 11 percentage points over his support for Israel in the aftermath of the October 7 terror attacks — with Democrats expressing more support for Palestine than Israel.

According to the Gallup poll published on Thursday, a majority of Democrats support Palestine over Israel even in light of the massacre of more than 1,400 Israelis by Hamas terrorists — as they are more angered over Israel’s strategic attacks in Palestine to eliminate terrorists than they are about the deaths of Israelis. Axios reported that “just 38% of Democrats chose the Israelis while 49% said they sympathized more with Palestinians.”

As Biden has repeatedly expressed support for Israel, these pro-Palestine Democrats are now losing support for the president. His approval rating among Democrats has dropped from 86% to a record-low 75%.

“Biden is at risk of alienating members of his own party with his unequivocal support for Israel, which has carried out a weeks-long bombardment and total siege of Gaza in response to Hamas’ Oct. 7 terrorist attacks,” Axios claimed.

In an October 10 speech, Biden spoke out in support of Israel — announcing that the U.S. would aid the Jewish state in defending itself.

“In this moment, we must be crystal clear… The United States has Israel’s back. We will make sure the Jewish and democratic state of Israel can defend itself today, tomorrow — as we always have,” Biden said.

Meanwhile, the president has still supported sending aid to Gaza — despite concerns that the area is controlled by Hamas and the money will likely fall into the hands of terrorists.

“The Biden administration plans to send hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to Gaza and the West Bank. This taxpayer aid is potentially falling into the hands of Hamas and other Terrorist organizations,” House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) argued in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Despite calling for aid to Palestine, Biden has not been able to salvage the support of pro-Palestine Democrats. His overall approval rating also dropped in the Gallup poll by four points to 37%. The survey also showed that his approval among independents sits at 35%, while his approval from Republicans is at just 5%.

The Gallup poll sampled 1,009 adults from October 2-23 with a four-point margin of error.
