Rachel Levine Warns Children May Experience ‘Wrong Puberty’
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Assistant Secretary Rachel Levine is the highest ranking “trans” member of the Biden administration.
Interviewed last week for ABC’s “Nightline,” he uttered alarming comments concerning minors and so-called “gender-affirming care.”
Levine brushed aside concerns that children under 18 are too young for this “care.” Instead, he argued that these minors need medical interventions including hormone therapy to prevent them from going through the “wrong puberty.”
He asked interviewer Juju Chang, “What if you’re going through the wrong puberty? What if you inside feel that you are female, but are undergoing male puberty?”
Levine claimed there are no medical procedures performed on children before puberty. Rather, he asserted that hormone and speech therapies allow children before its onset to “explore.”
He categorized “gender-affirming care” as “medical care,” “mental health care” and “suicide prevention care.” He further described these radical treatments for young people as “evidence-based.”
Levine previously claimed to be the “first female four-star officer for the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.” He has described his “transition” into womanhood as beginning well into adulthood and being completed only when he was 54 years old.
He was quickly criticized by Parents Defending Education President Nicki Neily, who tweeted a video of the ABC interview and asked if “this is the ‘expert’ parents are supposed to trust?”
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted that there is no such thing as “wrong puberty. Woke bureaucrats are lying to our children and trying to destroy our country.” The Republican presidential candidate added, “We must fight back.”
Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) asked why American parents have no faith in the Biden administration. “Because Richard Levine thinks your child can go through the ‘wrong puberty.’ This isn’t medicine.”
Chaya Raichik, creator of Libs of TikTok, called the comment “insane.” She said, “Nobody can go through the ‘wrong’ puberty.”
Perhaps no one summed up the response of ordinary Americans to Levine’s outrageous statements than the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh.
He asked, “What if you have the wrong liver or the wrong left kneecap? What if you have the wrong eye color? What if you have the wrong DNA? These and many other questions make sense of you’re a delusional schizophrenic.”
