Resurfaced Clip Suggests Biden’s Involvement In Son’s Business Deals

President Joe Biden has repeatedly claimed that he had no connection to his son’s shady foreign business entanglements, but a trail of evidence contradicts those assurances.

House Republicans are investigating a bevy of potentially damning clues as part of an ongoing impeachment inquiry, and a recent revelation only adds to the speculation that he sought to benefit from Hunter Biden’s business deals.

A resurfaced C-SPAN clip from 2005 reveals the elder Biden, then a U.S. senator from Delaware, at a Democratic Party fundraising event in South Carolina alongside his son. 

Newsmax TV host Greg Kelly broke down the footage and how it could be interpreted as evidence that the Bidens were using their political connections to their own financial advantage.

At one point after Joe Biden delivered the keynote speech at the event, he was engaging with attendees, where the topic seemed to turn to business-related matters.

“Maybe we can come to an agreement,” he said at one point.

Shortly thereafter, Hunter Biden joined the conversation as his father ventured off to mingle with others in the crowd.

“You see how that worked?” Kelly asked his audience. “You see how that worked? Hunter goes with the other guy and they talk business.”

Of course, Republican lawmakers might not need this clip to make their case that enough evidence exists to launch articles of impeachment against the president. One day after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) tasked a trio of panels to begin an impeachment inquiry, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee released a statement outlining “over 20 examples of Joe Biden’s involvement.” 

“I want to go back to where we were in January when we started this investigation,” said Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY). “This was the narrative: the President’s son’s laptop was Russian disinformation; Hunter Biden was a legitimate business guy, just like Jared Kushner; No Biden ever took money from China — that’s what Joe Biden said; No money ever changed hands while Joe Biden was Vice President; Joe knew nothing about his son’s dealings; And Joe never met with or spoke with any of the foreign nationals who had wired the family money. All of those things have been proven wrong because of the Republican majority and our investigation.”
