At a boisterous rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, President Donald Trump vowed to the assembled crowd that he would expose the “monumental corruption” of the Biden family. This promise comes amid a recent surge in support for Trump following his rousing speech at the Iowa Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner event.

Trump’s speech on Saturday came filled with accusations aimed squarely at Joe Biden and his son Hunter. The former president claimed that the Bidens received millions of dollars from Ukraine and reciprocated by funneling billions in U.S. taxpayer money back to the Eastern European country.

The former president called Biden a “compromised” leader, casting doubt on Biden’s ability to lead the nation impartially. In his remarks, Trump stated, “The Bidens got millions of dollars from Ukraine. Now Ukraine gets billions and billions of dollars from the American taxpayer. Joe Biden is compromised.”

At the heart of his speech, Trump vowed to bring accountability to the Biden family if he’s reelected in 2024. “When we win the election, a little more than a year from now, I will appoint a real special prosecutor to expose the monumental corruption of the Biden crime family once and for all,” Trump promised.

Despite recent indictments levied against him by the Biden Justice Department, Trump maintains a loyal and energetic following. His supporters’ ardor was palpable in Erie, evident from the standing ovations and rousing applause throughout the three-hour address. Trump taps into ordinary Americans’ concerns about the corruption they see within the Biden administration and their desire for change.

The former president’s remarks also raised questions about the U.S.’s involvement in Europe, criticizing Biden for sending American troops overseas. He questioned why American lives should be put at risk and demanded Congress block further deployment.

Furthermore, Trump alleged tax violations within the Biden family and obstruction within the Justice Department. He urged Republican Congress members to act on these allegations, calling for a more robust response from his party against the Democrats.

“If they’re guilty, I happen to think they must be,” Trump declared, solidifying his intent to investigate the Bidens if he were to regain the presidency.

As we edge closer to the 2024 election and the political landscape remains volatile, Trump’s pledge to “take the gloves off” and expose the supposed corruption of the Bidens could energize his base and continue the conversation around alleged wrongdoing within the current administration.
