The prestigious Mayo Clinic has a brand new narrative after most of the medical establishment spent years saying the opposite. After former President Donald Trump praised hydroxychloroquine as an effective treatment for COVID-19 in 2020, the medical community cried foul.

Now that same community is eating its words, but only after billions in profits were made from the government-backed vaccines.

On the Mayo Clinic website it now reads, “Hydroxychloroquine may also be used to treat coronavirus (COVID-19) in certain hospitalized patients.”

It further states, “Hydroxychloroquine should only be used for COVID-19 in a hospital or during clinical trials. Do not take any medicine that contains hydroxychloroquine unless prescribed by your doctor.”

That sound advice rings true for any number of medications, and a doctor’s care is needed for most major drugs.

This statement is a far cry from what the Mayo Clinic previously posted on its website about hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine.

It said, “These malaria drugs were authorized for emergency use by the FDA during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the FDA withdrew that authorization when data analysis showed that the drugs are not effective for treating COVID-19. They can also cause serious heart problems.”

Trump was one of several high-profile Americans to take the medication after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The reactions from those who could have spread the benefits of the medicine during the depths of the pandemic are furious. Former Trump aide Peter Navarro blasted the Mayo Clinic for its “grudging admission” after the pandemic ended.

Navarro also took CNN to task for repeatedly hyping negative reports on hydroxychloroquine.

On X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, he posted, “For all you murderers at @CNN @johnberman who spread lies about hydroxy, this one’s for u.”

Navarro slammed the network for preventing the distribution of millions of “tablets of hydroxy that could have saved thousands of lives.” He charged that the left-wing outlet used the issue to attack Trump and that it amounted to “negligent homicide at a minimum.”

Of course, the medical establishment and Big Pharma resisted endorsing a cheap and readily available alternative in favor of the “emergency” vaccines. Billions were made and trillions in wealth were transferred within the U.S. alone.
