With mounting evidence that Hunter Biden and his father, President Joe Biden, have accepted bribes from foreign entities, it is striking how little attention the developing scandal has received among many mainstream media sources.

But for one MSNBC host, the real travesty is that one cable news outlet — Fox News Channel — actually does devote airtime to the story.

Mehdi Hasan offered his partisan take on the matter in response to a tweet by journalist Aaron Rupar, who pointed out that between Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, Hunter Biden’s name had been uttered “at least 104 times” on Wednesday morning.

“Imagine if liberals or the Dems had a nationwide messaging apparatus, an actual propaganda arm, which pumped out Jared Kushner’s name and alleged misdeeds daily, 100s of times,” Hasan replied. “Then you start to understand the messaging imbalance in this country & how the GOP gets away with so much.”

Considering the widespread belief that Hasan and his employer have long done the Democratic Party’s bidding, he was quickly called out for his perceived lack of self-awareness.

Washington Examiner contributor Brad Polumbo shot back, declaring that a Democratic Party propaganda arm is “literally what your network is.”

Newsbusters associate editor Nicholas Fondacaro pointed out the obvious, tweeting: “You work for MSNBC.”

Of course, this was not the first time Hasan has used such rhetoric to describe Fox News. Earlier this year, he asserted that Democrats should refuse to accept interviews with journalists associated with the network.

“So I’m glad Joe Biden did what Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and others have refused to do,” he said in response to the president’s decision to decline a Super Bowl interview with Bret Baier. “He said, ‘I’m not going to play this game.’ Democrats need to pursue that. We have to make the point that this is a propaganda organization, not a news organization.”

The previous month, Hasan let his personal political allegiance show when he said of Biden: “I never imagined I would say this — I was born in 1979 — I think he’s the most impressive president of my lifetime. Now, you might say that’s a low bar compared to Ronald Reagan, George W Bush, Donald Trump, but even compared to the two Democrats who are semi-worshipped by some in their party, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, I think Biden objectively — on paper a list of achievements — has done more.”
