Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk’s infamous brawl with fellow tech giant Mark Zuckerberg may be in limbo, but he is now going after an even bigger fish — radical leftist billionaire George Soros.

The war is over free speech, and the battlefield looks to be the courts.

Soros is accused of utilizing his Open Society Foundations to propel censorship and anti-free speech campaigns in Ireland and Scotland. Journalist Ben Scallan wrote that this effort includes “police searches of homes, computers and phones.”

The target of these searches is the undefined “hateful material.” Irish political leaders supported by Soros-funded NGOs are attempting to make it a crime merely to possess these vague materials.

During his acquisition of X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Musk described himself as a “free speech absolutist.” He is now putting his considerable clout behind that claim.

Noted author and journalist Michael Shellenberger posted on X that Soros-supported politicians trot out claims that so-called “hate incidents” are increasing. This is contradicted by the facts, the writer explained, as there is in reality a higher tolerance of minorities.

The underlying reason for the crackdown, Shellenberger asserted, was to oppress free speech.

Musk quickly leapt into the fray, posting “X will be filing legal action to stop this. Can’t wait for discovery to start!”

Musk v. Soros is hardly a new theme. In May, the Tesla and SpaceX owner blasted his counterpart by saying he “hates humanity.” Criticism came raining in from radical leftist quarters, and Musk was accused of being an anti-Semite.

Unrattled, he added that Soros “funded so many politicians and DAs who are soft even on violent crime.” Musk said the financier threw his billions behind elected U.S. officials whose policies directly caused harm to American cities.

Musk compared Soros to a comic supervillain, the X-Men’s Magneto. He believes that mutants should rule the world rather than humans. This drew more charges of anti-Semitism for which Musk apologized.

Only, he apologized to Magneto and declared that comic book analogies “are obviously imperfect, to say the least.” He added humorously, “just because George Soros can bend metal using his mind doesn’t mean he’s Magneto.”
